Annoyed I am thoroughly frustrated with the inconsistent policy on nudity on Tumblr. Naked men of color are flagged, while white men are not. Erections under clothes are flagged, while completely exposed ones are not. Appeals for one picture are approved, while a nearly identical picture is rejected, and there is no discernible difference. Many blogs are full of not only naked pictures but pictures depicting sex, and they are not marked as mature blogs, while others with only a few nude images and stories are flagged as mature. Beef
This is my beef with Tumblr. The picture on the left was flagged no matter how many times I posted and appealed it. Tumblr insists it is “Mature Content” even though I appealed it as having no exposed genitalia. The picture on the right has never been flagged, was liked more than 4000 times, and reblogged 1000 times. The policy is completely inconsistent.
